Goals

On November 9th, I started a new job. Honestly, I'm not impressed, but it has taught me some lessons and made me realize even more my passion is the endurance world. This job has taught me I am not a desk person. I thought I would adapt, but sitting 8-9 hours a day is not for me. Not connecting with people is not for me. I want to know how people are doing, hear about their progress, their goals and know them by their name. In my job right now there is a high probability I will never talk to them again.


My most exciting news is I am starting school in the fall to pursue a Master's degree in Public Health. With this degree, I will be eligible to sit for the Registered Dietician exam. I also want to get my triathlon coaching certification and be a resource to people who are discovering the sport for the first time. As anyone who has done a triathlon knows, there is a lot to learn and you never stop learning.


Is my diet perfect? No, but who's is. My best days right now are my weekend days. I spend them rowing, swimming, biking or running. I love the way I feel vs. sitting at a desk all day. I hurt in a good way from the exercise. I feel achy and drained from sitting at the desk and computer. I look forward to the day when I will be helping people reach their goals. I also look forward to pursuing my own goals as I get lighter and faster.



I started today off with one of my favorite things....Chick-Fil-A. Is it the healthiest option? Well not the way I ordered it, but did I enjoy it? Yes. I do need to quit ordering two sandwiches. I barely ate the second one. It gave me the little bit of happiness I need before I sit through training for my job for nine hours. The rest of the day I will make healthier choices that will fuel my body towards my goals. Have a great day! Thank you for reading!
